Cool gear (if you are a geek)

Wow, they're cool but the shock that I think they are talking about is STICKERSHOCK?!

My game system only uses 6 sided dice, a long dead and out of print system created by Steve Jackson, published by Metagaming. If any one out there has Death Test #1 for sale with complete set of counters please email me.

TFT? Not familiar with it.

I play MERP, so I know the problems with playing a long-out-of-print system...

I used to play ROLEMASTER which was at one time, the complex version of Middle Earth Role Playing; more races, more skills, more character classes, more spells, more crit tables, more weapons...you get the idea. If you are looking for something, email me, if I have it then I'll send it to you.

I know there a few gamers here on BFC. Anyone else obsessed with dice or just me? :)

It's not just you. :D

I have now been a regular roleplayer for more than a quarter of a century. I run a bi-weekly game and I play in three others, two bi-weekly and one weekly. The average age of my gaming group is probably just under 40.

I have mostly used the Hero System rules, also known as Champions, since it came out in the early 80's. It was originally designed for superhero games, but was later expanded for general use. We use it for whatever strange genres happen to catch our interests. (My latest is a game based in the American Wild West of Randall Garrett's "Lord D'Arcy" mystery/fantasy series.)

Those dice look very cool, but I'd rather spend my money on other types of toys...like knives, for instance. :)

These we mostly use laptops and Palms for die rolling and other administrative duties anyway.

There are some pewter dice which are very nice, have good weight, and are about $20 for the set. Pretty sweet.

Bob Q -- What programs do you use for dice rolling, Bob? I have Dice and DicePro on the Palm. They are both pretty good. A friend of mine developed a program for automatic weapons fire and contested willpower rolls in Vampire.

PsychRN -- mostly looking for the MERP resource books. If you find any cheap, I will gladly reimburse you and include some extras for your troubles. THANKS!

I use DicePro on the Palm. There are several good die-rollers out there, but DicePro has proven the most flexible for my purposes.

On my laptop I just use the roller that's built into MetaCreator, the Hero character builder.
