Cool gifts (projects) from my neighbor

My neighbor is a potter and a very hospitable fellow. When he learned I was restoring some vintage stuff, he gave me a few things to work on. I can hardly believe my luck; check this out. He gave me a scythe and a machete. I wonder if the handle of the machete is worth salvaging -- I'd have to fill that crack somehow, but it might be cool to retain the original. The tomahawk is for me to restore and return to him. And look at that lawn sprinkler! That might be beyond my skill set for now, but I'll get into it at some point.

It looks like the tip was broken and reground

I wonder if I can fill this crack and keep this handle

I have some brass rivets that might fit this.

That Coupe-Coupe machete has seen better days(missing tip), but the handle looks original (I would ask your neighbor where did he get it). I would go easy on that rust and try to find maker's mark(possibility of it being used in WWI)
Can you post detail pics of that Francisca Throwing Axe. Thanks

And yes, my neighbor said that the tip was broken and he ground it into this sort of a tanto tip

I used a sprinkler like that when I was young (a long time ago). If you look, the front wheel has a grove in the center which just fits over the hose as a track to follow. The sprinkler is self propelled, so what you do is stretch the hose out in a straight line or a slight curve, place the front wheel over the hose, and go drink some lemonade in the shade until it walks it way across the yard, then reset.
I loved to play with this sprinkler!
The Coupe-Coupe was still in use during the Vietnam War. I got mine in 1965.
