On my father's side my Grandfather gave me this knife he doesn't use anymore, a Case XX 200 Stainless chef's knife that, after stropping, will shave my arm smoother than my Fusion proglide!
On my mother's side, my Grandfather, who was a engineer / machinist (He didn't like engineers who couldn't actually make what they designed on paper) at various AFBs in WW2 made this in his spare time. He died in the 60s from Addison's disease, so I never got to meet him. He made this knife and a rudimentary leather sheath to go with it. It's made with various left over scrap from the P51 Mustangs he wrenched on.
I'm told he also made the .50bmg bullet lighter. I've never seen another like it.
