Hey guys I ran across this video and I figured my fellow gun nuts would enjoy it. This kid is pretty good, he has made some real innovative projects. Its nice to see the home tinker is still alive and well.

Enjoy...

He definitely has some bugs to work out but its a cool little rig.

This little .410 is actually not a bad looking homemade rig...

Pretty sweet he needs to work out an ejection system.

He's lucky to be alive I think but pretty ingenious. Maybe the next John Moses Browning.

Cool, but that kid is scary. Betcha the BATF has watched this a few times!

Barrel was over 18.5 inches. Nothing illegal about building your own guns. He didn't look like a felon lol... I guess you never know. You tube is filled with homemade guns. Nothing illegal about it.

He could probably solve the ejection issue by using a real shotgun barrel. The high wall brass doesn't help either...

He is motivated that's for sure but I hope he doesn't kill himself in the process.

Legal has nothing to do with it, Brother. I've seen guns with pipe for barrels split and parts never found. I've proofed my own barrels for over 40 years now and for me it's safety first.

I was referring to your ATF comment. I think we all agree he would be better off using a cheap 50 dollar mossberg barrel.

I am sure this is probably how Mr. Browning, Mr. Garand, Mr Stoner, Mr. Colt, and let's not for get good old carbine Williams got their start.

We live is a world of babies and warning labels. It's kids like this who make things happen, instead of waiting for others to do. I give this kid props... He has even made .50 BMG arrows!!!

I hear you on the pipe Bookie ole buddy...

This build seems a lot more sound

Imma say the OAL on that ain't 26". Bienvenidos a San Quentin, hijito...

Yeah... I think the "rear tube stock" if you want to call it that pushed it past the golden 26 inch rule. The stock kinda folded up on him, that 26 inches might have gotten down to 25 or so lol.

He has his own channel and builds dozens of guns. He is well aware of laws and mentioned the 18.5 in barrel and 26in overall the beginning of his video.

He is still young, I found his overdesigns to be good although his welding, and construction materials could use a lot of work. There are much nicer home made guns out there. I just thought this kid was kinda cool for thinking outside of the box.

I have seen factory quality AK's being built in home kitchens with little more than bolt cutters with special "teeth" being used to affix the receiver and barrel pins. AR's are also much easier to assemble than either of these kids designs. An AR parts kit, 80% lower, and $120 table top drill press is all that is needed to built a quality AR in the privacy of your own home. Just engrave you name on it and you are legal as long as you aren't barred from owning guns due to felonies, ect.

Who knows what is coming down the pike now with "Executive orders". I say just build'em at home like our patriots from past and present have done.

JMB got his start under his father. Jonathan Browning was a gunmaker in NY, he was also a county judge or something like that. He was known for harmonica rifles and I think some revolving rifles. His job as a judge is why he became Mormon. He was hearing about what was happening to them with the persecutions and all that, went and talked to them and converted. He made a lot of rifles used by Mormons for hunting and defense. JMB helped him out with that when he was old enough, and one day he decided to start trying new things.

Thanks for the info Scara!

I did not know that about John Moses Browning. He has always been my favorite weapons designer. The 1911 and Hi Power are my two favorite handguns of all times. The Hi power was the first "wonder nine', it is the best 9mm on the planet to this day if you ask me. I love single action automatics because I am an accuracy nut. I love a good 1911 trigger, although the Hi power trigger is its only downfall. Removing the magazine disconnect helps.

His designs are the foundation for many if not most tilting barrel automatics.

Here is a super cool design. It is much more well finished. nice little .410

I'm a Mormon and a gun guy, so I learned the history. Jonathan Browning's shop is still there in Nauvoo, Illinois. They have gunsmithing demonstrations. John Moses Browning's shop is a museum in Ogden, Utah, I think. I ought to head to JMB's shop sometime as a day-trip.

That would be a great place to check out. I will visit it if I am ever in the area. You got my curiosity up about Browning. I am going to do some reading up this weekend.. Can't wait!
