In these tough economic times its good to know we knifenuts are blessed with a wide variety of cool, high quality and affordable blades to help get us through.

There are great knives from Boker plus designed by the forums own CLB none of which costs more then fifty bucks and most half that. Boker has new models from Chad as well as a collaboration with Jim Burk and the interesting looking "batman" folder from a Husband and wife knifemaking team in South Africa and none of the prices I've seen have been above 8eighty bills for any of 'em.
Kershaw has all its Ken Onion knives in a myriad of colors and materials and sizes as well as new inexpensive autos and there knife of the year winner the speed form, at the high end of inexpensive.
Spyderco has lots of cool stuff happening as always, full dsclosure I am a huge fan, and a lot of that cool stuff is in the middle of there price range. New hawkbills in H1 non-rusting steel, the amazing zdp stretch, which can bbe found for less then a c note, and as always cool new variations of little knives ranging from the ladybug Salts to the UK series of slip joints. At between one and two hundred dollars Spyderco has even more awesomeness even more finally fitted in even more exotic materials. Check out the polliwog II, the superHawk and the Chockwe, oh and have you heard, the titanium mili with RIL is looming right around the corner.

and those are just three out of all the companies making superb knives. Bark River has a ton of patterns in a galzllion handle materials for every possible need or desire that can be had for between 60 and 200 bones;
and damn, these are just 'my" favorites. There are so many brands making so many awesome knives where do you look for your moedertely priced workhorses or latest "e"neato" edc?

Woohoo, knifetimes is good!
