Cool looking scales - Phil Tham folder

I picked up this folder last week from Phil Tham (txwoodchip). He's been out the knife making biz for a while and was surprised to see him back at it. The scales on this gents folder were made from a pine cone encased in resin. If you look at the resin under magnification you can see gold or copper dust infused into it. Phil really put a lot of detail into the knife, jeweled liners and file work on the back spacer just to name a couple. I'm really happy with it :).

The last pic is with a skinner that Phil made a while back.

Bumping my thread because I've spent the last 10 minutes looking at "A KNIFE I HAVE" because it's so fun to look at. Seriously, just look at this thing... it's like a piece of abstract art.
 
That's just too cool. I'm thinkin different cones would give you a different look. Beautiful folder
