Cool new watch bands for Luminox

Have you seen these new watchbands Luminox are using? They look more comfortable than the plastic bands they come with.

They can be ordered at http://www.parsecent.com/

It is called the logo nylon band. I ordered one for mine and will let you all know how I like it.

Hey Dennis - a quick question about the Luminox Seal watches. I've read on the other thread in this forum that these watches (like the one pictured) are nice and bright at night. Do you know if all the Luminox Seal watches have the Tritium dials on the numbers or do you have to Order those particular watches special from the Traser company in the UK?

Also, for everyday wear which of your Watches do you like better (both night and day performance) the G-Shock or the Luminox?

Thanks

As far as I know all the Seal watches have the tritium.

Tough call between the Luminox and G-shock. I like the looks of the Luminox better. The tritium is really bright.

I have had a G-shock forever. These are very tough watches. If I know that I am going to be doing some really rough stuff I wear the G-shock. Not that I don't think the Luminox won't hold up, but the G-shock is sooooo tough and cheaper.

Dennis, Is that one of the bands that goes through the pins rather than just attaching to them so that if one pin breaks, you don't lose the watch?

I believe it is, however I haven't received it yet. This company has some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. I ordered it over two weeks ago. One week after it didn't get here I called them to check on the status and was told they didn't get my full credit card number. I gave it to them again and was told it would ship out that day. Another week after not receiving it I called again and was told that my card was declined. I told her it was my check card and shouldn't have been declined to which the reply was "We dont take Visa check cards". I gave them another number and was told it would ship out and I "should" have it in a week. Keep in mind that both times there was trouble I initiated contact. They had my phone number and my email address. If I knew of any other source for these bands I would have ordered from someone else. I don't plan on ordering from them anymore.

I will let everyone know how I like it and how good the quality is if I ever get it.

Finally got the watch band. No thanks to Parsec's customer service.

It really is a cool watch band. I like it a lot better than the original plastic band. It is just like the nylon/velcro bands that Timex is using on theit Ironman series. If one of the pins comes loose the watch is still held on by the other one. It is also very cpmforatble.

Initial quality looks very good.

I will say that it was a real bitch to get the original band off.

I don't believe the bands come without the Trident. I have personally not seen a watch that didn't say Navy Seals either but have seen them referenced in other threads as available without it.

You can order Luminox watches with the Tritium dials (just like the "Navy SEAL" watches) directly from a Traser distributor. Sorry I don't have the URL, but they are out there. I have SEAL watch and LOVE it! Best watch I have ever owned. I wear it in the yard and to Church...a nice dressy, yet tough tough and cool looking watch. I bought the stainless steel body and rubber band and now am looking at the new Velcro wrap around band like this one you are showing me.

Dennis,

Does the watch band have a metal/plastic loop on one of the ends so the band folds around it, or is there no loop?

My Luminox (got it around early December '00) came with two bands: rubber and velcro one. I wasn't able to see any easy way to pop the rubber band off with out marring up the watch.

It does have a loop on one end for the other end to fit through.

Getting the plastic band off was a BITCH. You can buy the Luminox now with this new band.

****warning shameless plug ahead****
I have several of the new models for sale if anyone is interested.
