Saw this old 110 on the big auction site and thought it was pretty cool. Lots of use, patina, and a well-worn handmade sheath. Didn't buy it, just sharing. Looks like it's been to war and back. If only it could talk.
Sure the knife and sheath have been abused by our standards, but sometimes it's good to see a knife that has experienced years of hard work, not pampered, and is still intact. A testament to Buck's quality and mission to meet the needs and maintenance habits of all users. The knife above is a reminder to me that my 110 can go the distance.
That knife belonged to a First Sergeant, probably has more miles on it than a 55 Chevy. With a little Ballist Oil on the leather and some cleaning of the frame that one would be a nice piece of history to the man’s family. OH
