I was given a $100 debit card for Christmas and would like to spend some of it on a cool or interesting knife. Me and my friends like anything cool and I want something awesome to show off. (The cheaper the better) Im open to any kind of knife. I have always admired knives but now I'm really getting in to the topic. No specifics. Please include a pic or link.

I'd suggest CRKT Knives, with your price point you should find a few you'll like, might I suggest that you take the $100 and buy the best knife you can for that money not kool, not cheap but the best you can afford, I think you'll get more outta your money that way.

What were you looking for? Tactical? Work knife? Folder, fixed blade?

It would be much easier if you're description/wants were a little more concise than cool, interesting, awesome oh yes and cheap.

BTW welcome to the forums.

If you can find it a Cold Steel Triple Action fits your bill they can be a little crappy at times(watch videos on them you will see what I mean).

The MTech 151 bowie. 9 inch blade, $25 on Amazon, compared very favourably to the $200 Cold Steel Trailmaster it resembles:

You could spend a few more dollars and replace the rubber handle with pretty wood, tough micarta or leather rings. If you don't like the black coating it can be sanded off. All the handle mods you google for the Trailmaster will work, so if you're slightly handy with tools then a few hours work could turn the knife into this:

Or for real overkill, the same Chinese manufacturer has just released this 12 inch blade bowie:

I have the MT-151 and I'll vouch for what it is capable of. It's a tough knife and a surprising steal at $25. That modded one above is sweet. I never thought of doing that. Looks like I have a new project for the weekend!

Get yourself a Leatherman WAVE or a ChargeTTi! Some of the better sub $100 knives, very useful and super cool gadgets.

Fixed blade get a condor hudson bay.

Folder look at some of kershaws assisted openings like the tremor or one of cold steels oversized triad lock folders.

Honestly, $100 isn't that much to get something "awesome" and "epic". At least that's my experience. The better knives tend to be 150-200+. Some of the Beckers will put you right at $100 and they're about the closest thing to your criteria. But then again, "awesome" and "epic" can be quite subjective.
