Hey Normark
Go to the Randell Knife Museum/store. Not far from Kissimee. It is worth the trip.

Randall Made Knives (the correct name) is down a private drive through land that used to be in citrus groves. The phone book should give you the exact address, but it branches off to the east from South Orange Blossom Trail (locally called SOB Trail) on the south central side of Orlando. It's in Orlando, not really near Kissimmee. Kissimmee is roughly 25 miles south of Randall's shop and museum, which are really worth seeing, too! They used to keep some standard models in a display case so you could buy one without the wait if you found one you wanted. No, they aren't cheap.

I was 12 years old visiting my grand parents the last time I was in Florida. Everybody's lawn had a small irrigation ditch that ran across the whole front or their property and included metal piping under their driveways.

Much to my delight (I was 12) there was a 3ft gator under Gammy's driveway. For me it was like seeing a living dinosaur, I tried to coax it out for at least 2 hours, after awhile a (responsible) neighbor came over with a gas powered weedwacker, and the cold-blooded thing ran like hell.

My point is; eat fresh oranges off the tree, there's nothing like it. And avoid Epcot.

If you haven't ever done it, go on one of those airboat rides. They have them advertised in the Orlando Tourist magazines. They aren't like the everglades, they're all on lakes, but they do have gators and waterbirds, and they are alot of fun. Make sure to do a full hour trip.

For nightlife, go to Downtown Disney. Shops, food, and Nightclubs.

Something different to do...

Bass Pro Shop, House of Blues, Hard Rock Live, Virgin Megastore, TONS of higher end outlet stores and every restaurant on the planet that has more than one location pobaly has one in Orlando. Charley's, a local Central Florida high end steak joint, deserves a visit. Kind of like Vegas without the casinos, but one might argue that Vegas got some of it's ideas for modernizing and upgrading the town from Orlando. Also, take a drive into town and check out Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando and Park Avenue in Winter Park.
