Hey guys!
I made this knife earlier this year for a customer, but thought I'd share the pics with you.
This knife carries a 12" blade of 1/4" thick O-1, hand rub finish to 1000 grit, edge quenched and double tempered. The handle is a little longer than normal at 5 3/4" long, but with such a large blade, it balances it out quite well. The guard is stainless, as is the fileworked tang frame, pins and spacer. The handle material is really exceptional Ironwood burl that I was lucky enough to get from a very close friend of mine before he passed away suddenly.
As always, I made the sheath for this one myself. I used Karung snake for the inlay and antler for the carved button on the front.
Hope you all enjoy looking at these pics. I only wish you all could get to hold this one for a few minutes so you can apreciate the balance and feel. This was truely one of the nicest bowies I have made in a while.
Thanks for looking!
