Hi guys, Coop sent me these images and I just couldn't wait for him to start posting, he has a bunch of images to work on, so I thought I would get the ball rolling. Coop you can add to this or start a new thread. The first one is a special order tactical with a 4'' blade and mammoth ivory. The second one is a dagger with 3 3/4'' W1 blade with hamon and black lip pearl. The third is a bowie with a 11 1/2 W2 blade with hamon, damacus fittings and a fossil walrus handle, 16 1/2'' over all. The forth is a scrimshaw piece by Tina. I want to thank Coop for doing a super killer job with these images, they just about knocked me out of my chair :p

Thanks for lookin, Don Hanson lll sunfishforge.com

Whoa - beauties all. That tactical is something of a departure for you - and it is WAY cool! Love the little scrimmed sunfish too. ;)

Roger

They're all AMAZING, but I have to say that the mossaic bolster on that tactical folder is 100% Out Of This World!
And the grind on that blade just sets me to drooling.

Exquisite pieces, each and every one.

Thanks for sharing,
B.

Wow! Man, there's art and craft, and then there's art and craft.

Those are all out the top, wow!

That fish looks more like a pirana than a sunfish - very cool nonetheless.

This tac' is gorgeous.

Well, what can I say, except I wish they were mine. :)

Best Tactical? Is there anything you can't do Don? :)

Great pics as usual Coop. :)

WOW

I love them all, but that Tactical really grabbed my attention, absolutely brilliant.

...and you guys know it. It doesn't take my images to make known what we are familiar with.

All three represent REALLY different area's of style and build, and look at how he has mastered each. I'm always stunned.

'Best Tactical' ???!!! Donny likes to keep 'em guessin'. deserved award, too, in the build and design sense. This was ONE STOUT SUMBI***!

All kudos go to him. (Thanks for keeping reference to me 'subtle', Don, like I asked... :p )

I am over halfway done, with editing completion scheduled for this weekend. Be ready....

Coop

Go get 'em, Tina!!! Growwwwlll!

As usual Don,fantastic looking knives.Your versatility never ceases to amaze me. Now we just have to get you to stop putting that funny looking blade steel on your tac folders and all will be right. :D
Coop ,beauty pics as always.

Thanks for your kind words everyone. I didn't realize when I had these knives photographed how differenet they were from one another. They do cover a range don't they :p Jim Cooper really is very good at what he does. Get your knives photoghraped, has far as return for investment, this is the best money I can spend. It really does pay to have your knives photographed.

P.S. Yes the little sunfish has an attitude :p (in the scrim that is)

You know, the bowie and folding dagger are definitely more my style of knife, yet I keep coming back to that tactical. There's something very compelling about the design and materials. Congrats on the award Don.

Roger

Don, those knives are astounding. And that tactical is really a great idea. I mean, if you ever pull it out in a fight, your opponent will just have to stand there and stare at it. Hell, I would.
:D

Do you have a standard (read cheaper) version of that tactical? That is one neat looking design.

Thanks for the pics boys.  That's what we have been waiting for. Don , it seems you are one of the most prolific makers around. I just wondered how many hours you put in during a normal week in pursuit of your art?

damn sweet pieces there Don!! Love that scrimshaw too.
