Cooper hunter

My drop point huneter arrived yesterday from Mike Cooper aka L6Steel. The hunter is a regular pattern for Mike. I ordered mine with stag handles. Mike did a very good job on this knife, and will make a nice match to the Cooper fighter I already had. I cannot find a fault on the knife anywhere...the grinds are even, handles are very well fitted to the tang, and the edge is nice and sharp, just like I like it

The blade is plenty thick, right at 3/16" but Mike uses a nice high and thin hollow grind, which makes slicing very easy for his knives. Mike supplies the hunter with a leather sheath. His leather work is very nice, good heavy leather, and heavy stiching should keep the sheath lasting a lifetime with the right care. Mike is definately one of the makers who turns out very good quality knives, at more than fair prices, and I plan to add more work from him to my collection.

Oooh! Nice knife Richard. Great Job Mike! I really like the big choil for choking up on the blade, and the tip shape with the belly carried far foward should make it a fantastic skinner. That is a great knife. Enjoy!

Richard, I just got back from visiting with Michael. He's a great guy. I also saw and handled your finished neck knife with the warncliffe blade. Now that is a nice knife. I know your gonna like that knife!

Mike does good work, and definately is worth people looking into for a custom knife purchase. I know one of these days im gonna try and get one of his large bowies....those are just too cool.

The OAL is approx. 8 3/4".
