The brown truck brought me Michael's 440C hunter/utility knife this week. Has black micarta handles. If you're looking for a stout, good looking, reasonably priced, hunter/utility knife, then you should give Michael a call. Bang for your bucks, for sure.

Thanks for the kind words everyone!!!!It was so nice to finally get to meet so many of you guys and see your work. The talent that was displayed there was awesome!! The blade show has really inspired me. I'm going to put more time in the hand work part of my knives. Instead of trying to get them done faster, I'm gonna take more time with the subtle things that really makes a fine knife . Take care!! Michael

PS, Do you guys prefer postal money orders or cashier's checks??????

WOW! That about says it all folks. Finally got my Michael Cooper hunter/utility in the mail today and talk about surprised. Michael recently put one of his hunter/utilities up for bid here on the Forums. Sounded like a really nice knife and the sheath looked good too. Luckily I won the knife. In exchanging the customary E-mails needed to seal the deal I had casually mentioned to Michael that this was indeed my first custom knife. I opened the package today expecting to find the bead blasted knife that I had bid on. Instead I find a letter from Michael stating that since this was my first custom, he thought that it should be a little more special than that. So he simply chose to send me a mirror polished, mosaic pinned, fully carved version of the same knife. He also said that if I didn't like it he would pay return shipping and send me the one that I had bid on. Right! This one is definitely a keeper. This just goes to show you the type of person you are dealing with when doing business with Mr. Cooper. I do not feel that acts like these should go unnoticed and would like to publicly thank you L6, you have definitely gone the extra mile. I'll post a picture of this beauty as soon as I figure out how along with my impressions of what looks to be a great knife.
