Boy, if it's not one thing it's another. The Coote grinder came in today and the first thing I noticed was that the work rest on this grinder will be too high if I put it on the work cabinet that I have been using. The distance from the bottom of the base to the work rest is quite a bit higher on this one than the grinder that I have been using. I am going to have to build something else to put this thing on. I don't have time to fool with it right now. GRRRRR!!!!! Back to the drawing board.

I am only 5' 6" and work at a Bridgeport so a pallet works great for me -- what is really great is that the chips fall through the cracks and don't stay under my feet. :D

For some time I have been considering finding a rubber mat to put down where I usually stand while grinding, due to the concrete making my feet hurt. I came across a 1/2" thick rubber mat yesterday that is just the right size. What I decided to do instead of building a new bench to mount the Coote on, was to make a "mat", I will call it,to raise the floor level where I stand to grind, with the rubber mat on it and the work rest of the grinder came out about 1/8" lower than my previous grinder was. So, I have that problem taken care of with an improved surface to stand on. I did buy a second rubber mat to put under the buffer in case it takes another blade away from me and slams it on the concrete floor. Now, to finish setting up the grinder when I have time. Thanks for the suggestions
