how to deal with waiting for a knife to arrive? i have several knive inbound and am wondering the methods you use to cope with the excitement. i have checked the tracking number so many times i think ill be sued by usps....

I usually do some routine maintenance on the current rotation. Check the edges, oil the pivot, check the screws, sharpen, etc.

i'm waiting on a short-run custom forum knife at another forum.

i figure it'll get here when it get's here.

in the interim, i shall buy some more moras.

I have a severe problem with exactly the issue you are describing. Now I order all of my knives express shipping to help.

I also like to go shoot my guns.

Practice your sharpening. After all, there's always a chance one of those knives might come in dull as a butter knife:D.

Be grateful your knife isn't lost in the mail. One of my incoming is lost and it's killing me.

I just keep a couple of knives on the way all of the time.
My main collection that I already own is the real fix,
But I continue to tartrate the dosage at a constant level to keep the jonesing at bay.

A normal wait for me is 2 years, the longest I've waited is almost 8.
The best thing to do is forget about it, every year.
