Hi Hinderer crowd,I just got my copper standoffs in the mail today & they look great!I'd like to replace the pivot screw with a copper accent one & possibly the pocket clip too.
I seen in another thread that they offer Ti pivot screws(which is great I love Ti!) ano'd blue & brass but not copper. Can Ti be ano'd to a copper color?Did a quick skim thru the stickies & didn't see anything.

Do they make copper accent pivot screws & pocket clips?

I'll try & get a pic up soon. It's too dark outside now.

Thanks in advance for any help

eta:Also feel free to post any pics of copper goodness,if there's not already a specific thread about it
eta2:Not trying to start a pic thread, just really interested in more copper accessories for my one & only XM.

I thought the bronze screws were almost a perfect match for the copper standoffs...

Any clip suggestions?

Is that a bowie blade?

Yes it's a Bowie, this frame is green so I don't have a clear direction on your clip color. I am liking copper standoffs on pretty much all of the frame choices though.

Anodized Ti screws haven't come up for sale yet separately. I'm keeping my fingers crossed well see some soon.

I bought that bronze Ti pivot screw lastnight. It's coming together nicely. Thanks for the help

Let's puts these nuggets out there and if anyone has contradictory info. quote my words and add intel.

Copper accessories (as of now) are only standoffs and lanyard beads...most of the standoffs (if not all at this time) are for 3.5" XM-18s.

No copper filler tabs or clips have ever been officially created for XMs.

Brass LBS do exist, but copper do not or are super rare.

Bronze anodized Ti filler tab and clip pieces are the closest in appearance to copper that can currently be found. But none are available for direct order at this time.

Ti handle screws WILL happen and Rob WILL inform us with posts here and elsewhere when they are about to be/are available. This is true with most every piece and part.

I just got my Ti pivot screw in & it doesn't fit like the old one. It's not recessed & it's sticking out a bit.Did anyone else have this problem?Pretty bummed right now.:grumpy:

I'm hoping it's a pivot from a 3" or a 24 & not a 3.5".Do they vary?

Huh, weird. Is it snugged all the way down? I've noticed that if I don't have everything lined up quite right sometimes the pivot won't seat completely. A little realigning has yet to fail to fix the problem. Can you measure the post length and compare it to the old one (or just eyeball them side-by-side)?

I can assure you everything is lined up perfectly.I didn't take these pics after the first or second assembly.Maybe a dozen or so at the least.

That bowie blade is sick

As far as I know there are no 3 in or 4 in anodized pivot screws only 3.5. But I'm no Rob Orlando so I'd send those pics over to him and ask the pro.

Need photos of the other side of the nut to give assistance.

If it were mine, I'd remove the screw...assure alignment of all parts and gently retighten.

I'll take some more pics tomorrow.FWIW,I disassembled the whole knife a few times & gently re tightened only to have the same results several times.

If you have a micrometer, measure the outside diameter of the steel and anodized Ti screw to see if there is a difference.

What's most confusing is that one must realize the screw has no stop for the shank/threaded area, it's an open design that would allow a very long shank to pass right through. So it's a misalignment or a screw chamfer, scale countersink type issue if an issue at all.

Check to see what's actually stopping the screw (if anything).
