Copper (and alloys) coating?

Anyone have a recommendation of a coating for copper and it's alloys? I let the traditional stuff I forge patina naturally, but I'm working on learning menuke and would like to put some sort of abrasion resistant coating that would keep the copper and copper alloys bright and new. Any suggestions?

I use the Krylon acrylic clear, Tim. Works as well as any fancy sprays I've used, and its available everywhere.
