have you seen it? thoughts?

i may add it to the collection if i get my bcci 112 refund before they are sold out.

I looked at the email and if I collected 532's I would go for it.

I'm sure they won't sell out anytime soon.
I sorta like the mid-lock feature on my other Buck folders, it's very user friendly.

I passed on it for a couple reasons and I like the 532s.

I can get the green wood remington version from a dealer for big discount on close out now just under that price. true isnt labeled Buck, but doesnt bother me.

the scale choice, while I like it.....I'm not wanting it that bad right now.

the 420hc, while a well done steel and I'm good with, dont really need another 532 in it. combined with other reasons nothing pushing me right now for one.

looks like a great knife and the 532s are special in their own way. glad to see Buck making them again at least in special runs. plus if it does well theyll order more. if it doesnt maybe a stag or elk scale version will come along and I'd prefer that, all else equal.

I might change my mind, but for now there is other stuff I'd rather have currently.

Despite just getting a new Buck today, almost pulled the trigger on this one.

The mid-back lock is SUPER attractive to me! My absolute favorite lock set up. But, judging from the blade length, I'm thinking it's a touch too big for my EDC desires. Ugh... Maybe...

Forgive my ignorance but any idea of volume?

I considered it, and almost clicked...the advertised weight is about half that of my 112 in the same handle material, but I was worried that wouldn't be enough to get it into my pocket. (the fact that the sheath isn't included was a bit of a disappointment - I carry my smaller bucks loose in my pocket, but might want to try belt carry if I liked the 532 but not how it sits loose

This is unfortunate...

*Please Note 500/532 Sheath Sold Separately.

Get a 112 polyester sheath for it. It's so slim and light you'll hardly know it's on your belt.

I'm not really a fan of belt carrying folders - that's where my fixed blade goes. My point was that, if it came with a sheath, I might give it a try it if I was less than pleased with how it carried in the pocket... but I wouldn't buy a sheath to try it. Buying a different model sheath seems much the same to me, unless/until I try & appreciate belt carry.

I like it. I may have to order one. I usually let these things eat me up until they are sold out. :)

I like the 532 it pocket carries fine and I like the file work, dresses it up but not over done.
Something to consider is until the femington came along, you dont see many standard production 532, most are LE's and much more $$$.
Also the 500 sheath fits it.
Im not a big fan of the indigo blue, because its never indigo and not always blue either.

The drop point indigo 110&112 seem like a better buy to me. They come with a sheath for about $20 less.

What am I missing? The 532 does look more pocket friendly.

But...
I think it was the 2009 Blade Show annual meeting Chuck said that 532 was his favorite carry..I only have one and it's my Lifetime BCCI membership knife so I don't use it. I think the 532 lends itself to fancy handles like MOP and Ivory more than other Bucks. It's on my short list of Bucks I want to try for EDC and DUC (dress up carry) along with the 535 and 531.
