This one is something I have been wanting to do for a long time, and a little different for me.
Next to carbon steel, copper is my favorite metal! I really like how it has such a warm look to it, and with the heavy hammer texture it has a very "soft" feel. The hammered texture continues around the entire edge of the spine.
What do you think?

Ben, that is awesome!! I love it. Dare I say there is a bit of Serge Panchenko influence on this one? I think you've done a really nice job on that, the shape, the textures, the grind. Good stuff!
 
yeah, that is too cool. I want to do something like that when I see Serge's work. That looks like something he would spin off. Very good, though. It is not an insult at all to say that your work looks like serge's.
