I Like the color contrast between the brass and denim. Looks good in the hand and yes a copper pin.

I'd planned to go with a copper pin, but wasn't having any luck around here for finding one.
Someone had suggested using some of the copper wire, which I might try, either that or I'll look online. I found some SiBronze rod at a welding shop, but no copper!

Definitely going to have to find some though. The wire might be the way to go.
Some I did found all had a tiny hole down the middle, that was with the other craft metals at ACE.

I like the stainless pin, copper is predictable.
Howabout using a copper rivit from blue jeans as a detail on the handle with the denim micarta..... could be cool???

Hi Beau,

nice knife!

For the copper pin, you could make it out of your copper bar stock. For an 1/8" pin just cut off a piece about 3/16 square and shape it until it's round. If you want to get it exact you could put it in drill press and shape it or you could use lathe. You could buy it in pin stock here www.sheffieldsupply.com

Thanks guys

I'll have to check out that site Kyle, buy me up a bit for future use as well.
The only copper I really had was the bar I'd bought to make the guard from.
Suppose could always forge it down to about that size then see about turning it down more on my wood lathe, but I think I'll just check that site for the rod =P
