I wanted the Civivi Elementum, but the copper caught my eye. Problem is it seems quite heavy, while I'm trying to go a little lighter. Seems the whole point of the Elementun was to go lightweight, so does the copper take away from the appeal?

Anyone who has one, what do you think about it, how do you like it, and how heavy does it feel?

I may just end up going with the bestech ascot in burlwood, also on my budget list if I'm going heavy anyway.

I can't help, but thank you for putting this version on my radar. I love compact knives with some heft to them, and this seems like it'll fit the bill.

Well, ended up jumping on the bladehq exclusive marbled carbon fiber, i couldn't resist.

Also, they have an s35v with jade g10 coming soon. This is getting interesting!!!

My Elementum arrived today, and while it's the brass version BHQ lists the copper as exactly the same weight and I suspect they should feel pretty similar.

I picked it up explicitly because I like small, chunky knives. It is very much a chunky boy. My scale puts it at 4.5 oz., and I happened to have the 5.0 oz. Emerson CQC-7BW (larger in every dimension) next to me when I weighed it. If you handed me both knives, I'd say that subjectively the Elementum feels heavier than the CQC-7 despite being lighter, because it's so dense.

I've already wishlisted the marbled CF/coated D2 version and the jade G10/S35VN version because this is such a great platform and value for the money. I'm thoroughly impressed and I think you'll love the CF version.
