Blade is centered and very, very sharp. Love the look and feel of the CF and the copper is to die for. Photos can't begin to do it justice. You have to have it in your hand. I'll try and get some pics of the sheath a little later. To all involved you really hit one out of the park with this baby, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Wish I had decent camera skills, best photos I've been able to take have been out doors in the early morning which wasn't an option this evening. I did notice a couple of places on the scales where a little piece of the copper wire in the carbon fiber is sticking out. Kind of a sharp little prick if you run your hand across it just right. It's only in 2-3 spots and not major so I don't know that it really bothers me. Not sure how I could sand them down without exposing more or ruining the scales.

The sheath is very nice. It has the flat loop on the back. It doesn't say it was made in Mexico so I presume it was made here, maybe not.

Woo Hoo. Great looking knife Badhammer. I have 2 plain ones coming and 1 with BCCI etching but I live on the West Coast so most likely will be a couple more days. The knives that came out of Buck for the collectors club this year have all been great. Can't wait to see what is next.

I was just wondering that since this is "a special BCCI version of the famous model 110 to commemorate Buck Knives' 50 year anniversary"…does it mention "50th Anniversary" anywhere on the knife? I couldn't see anything like that in your pictures.

It looks like a great knife though.

Nope, nothing on the knife or COA regarding the 50th anniversary.

It's been awhile since the first post was made on this offering and I was just looking back over it. The prototype that was first posted showed a 50th stamped and mirror polished blade

Mine is not mirror polished. Maybe I'm remembering wrong but I thought the BCCI gold etch was satin finish and the plain ones like mine were to be mirror polished? Then again the first one was a prototype. I'm anxious to see others post their pics especially the gold etched club marked knives. Regardless I'm very happy with this knife.

The etched versions are usually mirror polished and the non etched knives are usually satin finished. June BCCI newsletter has the copper 110's that way as well.

The June Newsletter also stated they were to be a flat grind. Hard to tell from the pictures if it is or not but I thought flat grind meant that it was flat clear to the back edge of the spine.

I thought shipping was delayed while waiting for COA's as per Larry Oden's post in another thread.

I checked out the old newsletter as well. As gedlicks stated, the S35V blades would be satin.

I really hope for a flat grind...not that I'll be using it.....

It sure looks like a standard grind to me. Just like all the other standard 110's.

Information I found regarding definition of a flat grind

Flat grind — The blade tapers all the way from the spine to the edge from both sides. A lot of metal is removed from the blade and is thus more difficult to grind, one factor that limits its commercial use. It sacrifices edge durability in favor of more sharpness. A true, flat ground knife having only a single bevel is somewhat of a rarity.

Badhammer's knife in the pictures at the top of this page does not look like a flat grind to me.

Picture #2 is a flat grind.

It is flat in a way. A standard 110 has what I believe is called a high hollow grind blade. On this one you have the area just down from the spine then the blade is flat all the way down to where the bevel starts. On a regular 110 that area is concave (curved inward) where on this model it's flat. It's not a traditional flat grind like the Hoodlum but it's flatter than a regular 110.

Thanks for the clarification on the mirror polish versus satin. I thought I was probably remembering wrong.

Thanks Badhammer for the in person clarification on the grind. In one of your pictures above it looked concave. I am looking forward to getting these in hand.

Being a bit of a Buck neophyte...can someone PM me or email me a link so I can look/ogle/buy one or two of these...

You have to be a member of the BCCI to get a link to buy one as it's a members knife. However, as these are now being shipped they should show up on the auction sites at at inflated price.

Received mine today and they are absolutely fantastic in every way. Thank you Buck and the Collectors Club.

The grind on the non etched versions is flat although not clear to the spine and looks great.

Glad the rest of you all are starting to get yours. Hopefully some of you can post some pics as mine are pretty sad. On a side note, while I don't normally name my blades I've decided to make an exception with this new Buck. As of today her name is Penny! I thought with the copper frame and all that just seemed to fit.

I got my etched one in southern California, there is NO 100 year etch on blade, just a plain blade..american made sheath like the Chuck Buck special, nice leather tho too thin for daily use. Whoever shipped these needs to tape the ends of box..mine was wide open..apparently the mailman did not want it! Good job Buck, but wish it had 100 year markings like other customs!

Hi,
It looks like a Buck 2000 grind, I had info on it somewhere, super sharp one cut me across the knuckles with just a 1/2 of blade swing it cut them deep, it is on a custom I have here somewhere
George God bless
