I'm thinking about getting some flytanium copper scales for pm2...w a brass back strap and brass ano titanium hardware and pocket clip...
Ive never had either brass nor copper and I wonder how it would look...also I was thinking maybe maxamet steel but I'm really not sure... looking to hear ppls thoughts thank you

If you live in an area with low humidity and/or you don't mind weekly maintenance of a knife, go for it.

Show us some pics too, if you do it.

[I hope others with more experience with brass and copper chime in.]

Just leave the copper and brass alone. It will patina nicely.

I love my factory copper handle PM2, my favorite PM2 so far, and I've had like 8 so far 😂

I like both brass and copper on the sort of special occasion knife. They patina beautifully. Copper has always patina'd much more quickly and dramatically, in a good way, than brass for me, however I love brass as well. I like to give my copper/brass knives a little rub down with some sandpaper to give it a little bit of a shiny satin finish, it makes the patina shine much more bright and show the different colors a lot better. Then of course you can clear coat one of them when you get to a certain level of patina that you like, and don't want to go any further, however I've never messed around with that. I like to keep mine natural so that they keep changing colors.

They are heavy though, as someone else mentioned. If you can find one that has skelotonized copper/brass scales, that'd be optimal. Actually optimal is a thin copper/brass inlay over titanium (or whatever material you like) like Wingman EDC does on the MTNT Mach 3 and their Spar-K
