I like the look of bright cooper before it tarnishes

would like to use some as a stacked spacer or as a liner -

any recommendations to keep it from tarnishing or has anyone had luck with phosphor bronze - does it tarnish

thanks

A good paste wax should help protect it from oxygen as well as give it some extra shine. I personally like Flag Classic wax (clear), but you can also try Renaissance wax or Johnson's pasts wax as well, or the like.

I'm fairly certain there is no way to prevent patina if these knives are going to be used at all.

Copper tarnishes. Not much you can do to stop it.
Use rose gold if you want it to stay bright. Unfortunately, rose gold is expensive.

Silicon Bronze would be the best bet for your wants. lot of custom chef knives used with it for spacers as it doesn't tarnish easily, and leans more in that copper reddish hue direction than most bronze.
