Copper Rivets

When it come to copper or brass rivets are the gauges the same as wire gauges? Are 9 gauge thicker than twelve gauge?

I would assume so 9 gauge is always larger than 12 gauge just as 45 cal is larger than 38 cal.

The most common is #9 which is, in fact, larger than #12. You will need setters for both sizes if you dome the rivets.
