One of my favorite configurations! In the picture below are a few of mine. To the far right is a Frost Cutlery model (Japan) that was my father's. He carried it until the day he died. I suppose that may be why I have such an affinity for the Copperhead.

I've got a Rough Rider 338 in the mail, my first RR and my first Copperhead. Will report back shortly.

CASE Mini Copperhead in Rootbeer Bone. Fine little knife actually.

CASE Mini Copperlock in Pocket Worn Redbone. Bone that's actually red and not pink like a lot of current CASE red....

This Rough Rider with gunstock checkered bone that I bought at a gun & knife show was my first copperhead. I don't have it anymore (went off in a GAW), but I sure liked the bone!

Here's a Colt stag copperhead that I got in a trade with LastRodeo:

I'm not really a "full-size" copperhead fan, since 2 nearly-equal size blades pivoting on the same end of the knife is just not a set-up I'm drawn to. (Don't care much for trappers either; I like looking at them, but don't especially enjoy using them.) But the mini copperheads with the pen knife configuration do "speak" to me. This Rough Rider baby copperhead is one of my favorite knives:

I'm reviving this thread, as I meant to do months ago.

I'm still getting to know this Rough Rider Copperhead, but I like it a lot so far. I'm mostly impressed with its fit and finish considering the price tag. I guess that's more a credit to Rough Rider than the pattern itself. I went on a short hike today with it - I wanted something stainless for the chance of rain. It feels a tad heavy to me (2.61oz), and the nail nick for the drop point blade is pretty tough to get a good purchase on, but otherwise I'm enjoying it. The imitation abalone covers look really nice - even in low light they have a lot of movement to them.

I'm gonna keep using it to gather a more full opinion, but in the meantime here's a photo.

And a Trestle Pine Superior made by Queen. It has Reclaimed Ash for the covers.
