Copperliner; is the Double Tree version better?

How do the DoubleTree models compare to the regular models? In particular, I am considering the Copperliner model; Boker makes it in either stag or jigged bone with minimal etching or in a DoubleTree model with heavier etching and fancy bolsters. I like both, but is there any difference in type of steel used for the blade or fit and finish? Any quality issues with either? I like the traditional slipjoint appearance and size, but with the convenience of a liner lock on both of these models. Any thoughts would be most helpful. Thank you.

I think the difference lays in chosen handle and bolster materials mostly.
The Double Tree Models have 440C blade steel .
I dont know if the other versions have the same bladesteel.
I have no experience with them .

Double Tree stands for the more classic designs. I am guessing the material used in these is of higher quality and rarer handle materials in limited production.

I have the Copperliner with a stag handle. This knife is scary sharp. It is beautifully finished and has the liner lock which works quite well. I bought the one with the plain nickel silver ends and it is a nice knife. I hope this answers your question.
