Copperliner question

I was thinking about one of these, but I was a bit turned off by the plastic thumb stub. The ones in the latest catalog show a thumb stud that looks like it is metal. Is it? Please advise. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

...and regardless of the Copperliner, there will be future Bokers in my collection. Great service and product.

The Cooperliners all have plastic thumbstuds. I will say that I have never had one returned for a faulty thumbstud.
