I want to order a new traditional for office EDC. I have blue American Workman Slimline and it is great but I want something that looks a littler classier. The Slimline handle is a bit longer in my hand due to not having the choil that that Copperlock has. I dig the Copperlock blade shape a lot as well. I find the Slimline carries a bit better but I am worried about possible blade play? The Copperlock's I've owned have been SOLID. Anyone with more experience with Slimiline's care to chime in on pivot tightness/blade play?

I just checked out a few slimlines at a store here and didn't notice them having any blade play. Ended up going another direction but the slimlines are still in the back of my mind. I really like the bareheads like the yellers and wish they had a barehead cv in bone. Seems like pretty solid knives to me that would disappear in the pocket next to a cell phone or wallet.

The Slimline pattern is an excellent pocket knife pattern. Thanks for your thoughts; I wish there was a local store here with some slimlines in stock.

I am with you on the slimline in CV with bone Rob. I would jump on one of those. :)

I have a Copperlock and a Trapperlock. No it is not the slim line, but it is a trapper of the same basic size. There is a little blade play in the liner locking Trapperlock but it does not affect function. Case tends to not have a good detent, though, so you would have to check them carefully. I love mine. The Copperlock carries easier (a tad). The Slimline Trapper has no lock, but it does have a good backspring, so if you want a lock go with the Copperlock.
