Long time maker (1970).
I do not see to many of his knives on the net. But they do show up at the usual places every once in a while.

Knives POI series has a few pics of his work.

I do not have any electronic pictures to post but the address as given is correct. Write to Corbet and he will send you little flyers that he uses as catalogs. He makes three lines on knives, collector grade, Utiliy Hunter and working hunters. His Utility hunters areas good as most other customs, his working humter(start at $80) a good value and his collector grade are as good as the best. You will not go wrong with a Sigman.

I am a big fan of Corbet's knives. The man is an awesome knifemaker! Even the most simple knives he makes are impeccably ground. I picked up one of his working hunters at the Chicago show this weekend for a very low price. I could have got it cheaper if I wanted to wait until next year for Corbet to send it to me, but I went ahead and gave the man who had it about a $20 profit so I could take it with me right then. This knife is as nice as you can get without getting into handrubbed finishes and fancy handle materials. My blade is the super high carbon tool steel, brass single guard and full tang with cocobolo slabs. The wood is not particularly well figured, but perfectly matched on both sides. Again, you have to see this man's grinding up close to appreciate it. Everything even, straight and perfectly finished. You cannot go wrong with anything he makes.

I saw the knife at the Chicago show. I ought four Utility Hunters in Carbon steel from Corbet. One went to a guide who after using it to gut and skin a bear I had shot, was estatic about its cutting ability so I gave it to him. That was 5 years ago and he is still using and wearing the blade! The Carbon steel blade must be kept protected. MY god son's younger brother left the knife I gave him outside and it rusted very quickly. Corbet refinished the knife for $16 including postage! At the prices Corbet charges for his Working and Utility Hunters, why buy a production knife?
His custom knives are simply flawless in every respect and I am glad he came out with the using knives because I could never bear to use one of his customs!
Corbet is now offering CPM 440 as an option with a rolled edge. I had a couple of Utility Hunter made up and a Model 5 with about 1" sharpened on the swedge. Bad idea. The point went right thru the sheath on holstering the knife, but I was not cut. I am having A Kydex lined sheath made for this little beast.
