Cord Wrap holes?

I have a project where I will be making a knife that will be presented to a retiring LEO. I have made a few for them in the past and have not been able to figure out the best way to put holes in the tang for a decent 550 cord wrap where the cord can easily be removed and replaced with different styles.

These are the previous ones I did:

I don't plan on cleaning out the center portion of this one, just a traditional 550 cord wrap.

Wish I could help ya out buddy:( I haven't done any cord work so I got nothin' for ya, but the ones you posted look pretty damn nice!!

What kind of coating is on 'em?

Hey Jonny, I don't cord wrap either...

they wanted "Black" I have done some firearm refinishing in the past and have a bunch of Moly Resin that is baked on (300F). I am 100% sure it will wear/flake off a knife during use, but they insisted. I have not done any testing to see how it stands up, and I haven't heard back from them. haha

Thanks for your post, I was feeling lonely :o

Maybe a hole on each end would add flexibility? I'm with Jonny, not too sure about the wrap but I think the knives look great!

You haven't heard back because those cops were too busy bragging about how cool their knives were to their pals. Hole placement for wraps eludes me as well.

Peter Atwood's video changed the way I did paracord wraps. I use a variation on this idea.

Rick that is exactly what I needed and the holes couldn't be more simple! Thank you
