Cord Wraped Knife Handles

Wally Hayes gives an excellent demo in his "Modern Katana" video of both Japanese style wrapping and making a turkshead knot guard.

This should be easy to explain!

Tahe 3/8" (or width as required) flat skate lace, wrap it around the handle so that both end are on your side. Take one end in you hand, and fold it under on itself so that it points 90 degrees down the handle, and the fold angle is 45 degrees. Take a second fold so that it is pointing across the handle (180 degrees), and there are two linked 45 degree angles in the middle creating a thunderbolt like patern. Repeat with other lace simply crossing over the first. Flip and repeat on the other side, while working your way down the handle.

See? Simple!
