Cork belt compilation

Thanks - not only does it answer pretty much all the questions I had, it kept me busy for a little bit. :D

Oops! Just found out they still have the same problem. The CKD links are no good. They all go to the same place on some sales page.

Edited to add: A bit premature there. It appears it's just the first link that doesn't work right.

Oops, I hadn't rechecked them all out. I had reset the compilation link after the TKN/CKD reorganization and assumed they all worked.

As an unrepentant D2 addict, I use the cork belt method quite a bit. As far as I'm concerned, the more worn out the better on the cork hosted abrasive. I use 800 grit cork belts, but beat the hell out of them first, then apply the CrO rouge.

I personally believe it's a far better method than most makers use. It just shows that you don't have to have so many grit steps in making a knife.

If I'm able to get back to it in the future, I'm going this route.
