So what's so great about cork? I'm currently polishing with diamond paste and 1000, 000 gritts with round disc, the Finnish gets me a mirror look, does the cork do that? Will i need to use three different corks and compounds? Help I hate new tricks at first. What works already is good for me, but once I find some thing new and better I have teach myself and exspence of converting

Cork belts are a wierd thing. Do you want something like a 600 grit cork or do you just want a place to put compound on? If you just wanted compound, I recommend linen belt due to them not stretching out. And only being 3 bucks each. You also have to break in cork belts because they are super aggresive at first.

I haven't seen anything about them that would convince me to leave my Trizact belts and leather stropping belts. I'm just starting to play with linen belts, and they're a totally different critter than the leather ones, but they show some promise as well. Plus being dirt-cheap.
