Corn Stalk Pith and a Corn Stalk tinder bundle

I was asked on another forum if I thought the pith from a corn stalk would work in a fire piston, so I made a video of it!

Also included is making a tinder bundle from a cornstalk and blowing it to flame.

Judging by the bean field fire I helped put out this fall during harvest (in a field that had already been harvested--just stubble left!) it should make great tinder!!! Boy that stuff wanted to burn!

Neat info on the corn stalks and cobs skab... I'm gonna have to go out and try some of that stuff eventually.
