Sounds like a dumb question but Ive received 3 replacement Zero Tolerance pocket clips over the last year from ZT for my 0770CF and when they are screwed in there is roughly an 1/8 inch gap between the bottom of the clip and the knife handle. Is this just me or is there an actual trick to instlling a pocket clip other than just screwing it down?

You'll need to bend the clip to suite your desired level of "tight" on your pocket. After you've screwed down the clip onto the knife, if there is a gap on the bottom instead of touching the knife handle, put the clip in a small bench type vice and gently bend it so it'll have more tension to it. Go slowly so it may take a couple trial and error runs to get it where you want it. Better to bend a little at a time, rather than having to "unbend" I think. :)

I use a small piece of leather around the clip so the vice jaws don't mar it. You can get those small clamp to the edge of your table vices at any big box store for really cheap and they come in handy for many things.

Some guys have slightly different methods of adjusting the pocket clip, but this is what works for me for years now.

**Welcome to the forums btw. :)

thanks for the response, I guess I'll take the pocket clip down to my bench vise then :)
