Cost effective ESEE 5 Leather sheaths

I'm ordering an ESEE 5 next week, but I really don't want a kydex sheath. No hate on kydex. I just see myself in the cold more then I do saltwater.

I want something cost effective. I don't need a bunch of pouches and loops, just a taco sheath of decent leather. I was looking at Sharpshooter, but they don't have a catalog, and the ones I could find don't seem like they'll fit.

Any recommendations or pics?

You might try Kelly Customs (Psyop) -- no frills, but solid work, low price, and reasonable wait times.

Congrats on the ESEE 5, one of my favorites of the Randall line (but I love thick knives) :)

Now, to give us some perspective, what do you consider "cost effective"? Simple pouch sheaths are the least expensive of any line, but not all makers have similar pricing. But, most makers have a price chart on their site, and that is a good starting place.

+1066vik, I just messaged Kelly Customs. Their sheaths look exactly like what I'm looking for. I hope they don't charge too much. I also hope I don't have to send him my knife, five minutes after receiving it.

+Skystorm, your sheaths are pretty tacticool, but I'm not looking for any of that. If you supplied a simple taco sheath for guys who just want a place to put their knife, like me, I'm sure you'd see some sales on it, IMHO. Not trying to tell you how to run your business, though.

+leatherman, I may be asking too much but $20-$50. Sharpshooter tacos are about twenty to thirty bucks. I'd get one of those, but they don't have a catalog up describing the sheaths, or what knives fit them. I just want a full-grain leather pouch sheath, with belt loop. Nothing fancy. Unfancy, if anything.

Sounds like you know exactly what you want, and no your not out of line with your price range. :)

Mine are at the top end of that, but I am a one man shop with a misbehaving machine. :p

+leatherman, I suppose if I don't find anything by the time the knife arrives I wouldn't mind spending more. How long is your wait time at the moment?

On another note, you could really use a web designer. I have a close friend who's alway looking for more work, if you're interested.

Understood on the web site, its not the best right now, the only copy of DreamWeaver we had went with the computer crash a couple of years ago. We're about to fix that dilemma very soon with a new copy and hopefully a brand new more browser friendly site. Seems no one sees the little icon in the upper right hand of the first page that will take them to the other pages, our bad on that big time. The end of school is this week and the wife will have some more time to spend with it.

I do not consider my work 'tacticool', thanks. If I did then I guess it would be a perfect fit for your tacticool 1/4" prybar/knife. I have no use for a 20 dollar sheath, My materials cost more than that since I do custom work and not run them out by the thousands with a crew of manned sewing machine stations.

Dwayne, I happen to like your site. It has tons of all the information needed without all the irritating hassle and upkeep that an idiot like myself designed for mine.
