Costs for Corrosion Removal?

Hi. I own a Randall #13 12-inch Arkansas Toothpick. It has been with me for over 10 years, but I recently noticed some very small black corrosion pits on one edge, near the quillions, and along the fuller of the blade. I haven't been able to buff or polish these out, and I haven't wanted to get too aggressive with them for fear of damaging the blade. I'd like to send it back to Orlando for repair, so I'm wondering how to ship it and what it's likely to cost.

Any info would be helpful!

At least $35 plus postage. But you will have to send knife for exact quote on any repairs by the Randall shop.

Thanks Rhett. Is there any particular procedure to follow or precatuions to take in shipping the knife?

Send Randall your knife with complete instructions for the work to be done. Randall will then extend a written quote before starting. Repairs typically take four to six weeks. It is not the policy of Randall Made to work on knives that have been altered, including the old kit blades; these knives are not covered under the Certification and Guarantee. Address for shipment via US Postal Service, shipment via UPS or other carriers: 4857 So. Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL 32839.
Note effective September 11, 2001, Randall is not offering re-handle jobs. Spare time and space is devoted to filling military knife orders for our active military customers.

Rhett
