Non-emergency-more of a rant. Have tried since joining to get an army photo used as my avatar. Me & my BAR in wool dress reading for another close-walk-together . {Division parade for you civilians } Winter '51.

Was 6' 4" & weighed about 200 pounds & hunted bears with a stick .

Third, after you've done that, we can help you set up an avatar. Can you post the picture you want to use, or email it? It'll have to be edited to fit, but there are plenty of guys here who know how to do that, and most of them are better at it than I am. (I could do it, but they can make it look better than I would.)

I have it on a page that I can forward. Coug will post it [2 year wait ] now but it'll have to be the right size. Ken tried several times but he had trouble with the old 127 picture ,I guess.

I vaguely remember trying to help you set up an avatar sometime in the past, but I don't remember what happened....

If one of the photoshop experts can get Uncle Alan's picture from him and edit it to the right size for an avatar and email it to me at cougar.javanet@rcn.com I think I can use my superduperwhuper powers to change his avatar for him. That'll save him having to figure that part out.
 
Well, we're making progress.... Here is the pic. It's not going to be easy to make the full picture look good at avatar size -- probably better crop it before shrinking. The fellow standing with the B.A.R is Uncle Alan.

Hey, lookin' good! I set him up with Nordic Viking's closeup for now and that looks pretty durn good to me, but I can easily change it again....
