Could anyone compare the Sebenza to a Matt Cucchiara mid tech?

Don't want to create any drama here guys; just wanted some opinions if you have had both. I do have a 25 and I was wondering about the Cucchiara because it looks sweet and well built (also at a great price)
Thanks guys!

I personally haven't taken to his mid techs-don't like recurve blades much. To me Matts true gift is the beauty of his artwork on ti handles(although I am sure he is a fine knife maker- never chose to buy so far). His original mid techs were G10 and I didn't much like the look(but I see he is now doing some ti also). I once had one of his pimped Sebenza's(fizz)& melt that was pretty neat.

Like peter said, I am sure matts knives are very good, but I suck at sharpening a recurve blade, and I wont own a knife that I cant sharpen well.

Have had both.

The Sebenza is a Sebenza. The Dorado is made to the same level of detail but it takes handwork to accomplish one of those. The beauty in a Chris Reeve is that as much of the process is done via machines as possible owing to the quality of the manufacturing process.

Objectively the Dorado will probably be more entertaining due to the flipper feature. The Sebenza is a more complete kit though. You get packaging, stickers, a wrench, cloth, and a lanyard. I collect a lot of Tom Mayo cusyoms and Chris' knives still deliver on the same level for quality. Chris and Tom know each other as well.

Chris you are not helping me with my budget LOL
;)

I've recommended the Wilson Combat Eagle flipper for some time, but considering the entry price of the Dorado, the action, as well as the equally buttery lockbar feel to a CRK, I think it's a great supplement to a person's collection.
