could anyone tell me if Centofante is a quality knife maker?

Frank has been making knives forever, his workmanship is top notch.

I borrowed this pic from knifeart.com. This is one of his classic lockbacks.

what does something like that cost?

have a look at knifeart.com and you'll know immediately... or any other website that sells centofante folders.

Frank is top notch both as a maker and a person. I've owned a couple of his knives and was very pleased with the design and workmanship.

A quick look around the interweb turned up knives from $450.00-$1350.00.

One I still own:

+1 on what everyone else has already said. I purchased a knife from Frank at the 2002 Blade Show and really enjoyed talking with him. Here's a guy that's a legend and he's not standing behind his table letting people buy his knives, he's out there selling them.
