Hello everyone!
first of all, sorry for my english.
the forum is one of the possibility to exercise this foreign language.
I'm an italian knifemaker, known as "Brigante A.M.", but my real name is Alessandro.
I live in the north Italy, near to French border, in the south Piedmont (good land of wine, truffles, woods and local tradition...knives also!)
My search started from one of the local knives: "Vernantin". A simple folding knife for dayly use marked by a "broca" stop and made since 1400 a. C. .
I studied two years in Sardinia, with a great Master of Pattada. It was an amazing experience, not only for my work, but also for my personality...forge my character!!!
I believe that the debate and the comparison are always a good idea: help to improve!
Now, i work to new projects: fixed knives, combact knives.
If you permitted, i will post some photos after my introduction.
Honored to be part of this forum.
Thank you.
ciao.
