Hello everyone!
first of all, sorry for my english.
the forum is one of the possibility to exercise this foreign language.
I'm an italian knifemaker, known as "Brigante A.M.", but my real name is Alessandro.
I live in the north Italy, near to French border, in the south Piedmont (good land of wine, truffles, woods and local tradition...knives also!)
My search started from one of the local knives: "Vernantin". A simple folding knife for dayly use marked by a "broca" stop and made since 1400 a. C. .
I studied two years in Sardinia, with a great Master of Pattada. It was an amazing experience, not only for my work, but also for my personality...forge my character!!!
I believe that the debate and the comparison are always a good idea: help to improve!
Now, i work to new projects: fixed knives, combact knives.
If you permitted, i will post some photos after my introduction.

Honored to be part of this forum.

Thank you.
ciao.

I'm glad you are here. Welcome to our club. Lots of nice people here. We would be happy to see your work.

the road is long and I am just a lowly bandit!
What do you think?
bye, bye.

Wow! Great looking work, Alessandro! Keep doing your thing. I'm sure you're going to impress a lot of people.

Welcome to the forums! I really like the look of your work. I am looking forward to seeing more of it and hearing what you have to share.

Ciao is a greeting, not a name. ;)[/QUOTE]

Ciao everyone!
When I read "Mr. Ciao", I got a laugh!
Here, "Mr. Ciao" is like saying "Chinese"! :D

Also I will make some mistakes with your English Language!

Practice to improve...
as with blades!

Hello Ken,
Immediately admit my ignorance: I did not understand the operation of the forum.
Also, I find it difficult to write and understand the English language.
I had a little 'problems in recent months and the time is always short.
For this reason, I have never connected.
She talks about Community where selling and buying, advertising, payment knifemaker membership.
Maybe I thought it was a simple thing, where you can post photos to share.
if you could kindly explain to me how it works, I'd appreciate it.
With sincerity I tell you that I did not understand.

Thankyou,
alessandro.

hello and you make pretty knives sir!

a paid membership is required to sell knives here. as a registered user you can not sell or advertise for sale.
you can post pictures and talk about knives but not buying and selling except in the correct section and with a paid membership on forum...hope this helps.
