G'day!

I'm on the hunt but cannot find the right knife, hoping to get some ideas...

I'm chasing something between these two in terms of size and functional ability... the sebenza is a small and is beefier than i need most the time.. the boker is tiny and i baby it with some things...

Steel doesn't matter
Lock type doesn't matter
I'd like it to be somewhat available... don't want to have to spend too much time chasing ready to jump
I'm not really into spyderco or bearings that's about it...

Price range is 250-500

Things I'm considering
Tactile bexar - but tactile.dont ship to Australia
Fallkniven u1 and tk3 - but I've had and sold these before so there must be something i don't like about them that i can't remember...

Any ideas appreciated
Thanks!

Look up Kohezi

Second on the Bugout, seems the right size, and a few different options available. Check out the SMKW M4 version… really solid knife, great steel if you’re ok with potential of patina, although the blade coating should help protect it. I stripped most of my blade except the pivot area, and I love it.

On the lower right is the Kizer Begleiter Mini, which features an M390 hollow-ground blade, liner lock, and scales of solid frag-milled Titanium. for $139 (I got it from Amazon but most every knife store sells them. This knife has a less than 3" blade and the quality is superb.

The regular Begleiter has a longer than 3" blade, and may have a frame lock, not sure. That is the one you would want due to its larger size.

Anyway, best of luck.

That sebenza looks just the right size for something I would edc.. so you're looking for something thinner than the sebenza and stronger than the boker?

I would grab some laconico design from MBK.

Alrighty
thanks for the suggestions

Shortlist is now

Tactile bexar in dlc which i found on a site mentioned above

Buck 501 with burlap micarta - which looks amazing but way more than I'm used to spending on a buck so gotta let it sink in

Mndandi - i might have a lead on a used one

Another winkler - don't need this at all but I can't resist winklers...
