Hello All.

Firstly, I have been looking at lots and lots of pictures of them :) but, I have a great notion of always seeing a knife in the hand.

So, could someone please help me out and do me a wee snap of their beauty in the hand :D I find it a great way to judge size.

Reason...I am upgrading knives, as you may have seen with my Sebenzas. As I always carry a knife in my jacket pocket, this model is one to look at.

As always, Thank you.

Please allow your friendly neighborhood Mnandiac to assist. ;) ;) BTW, my hands are of average size.

Hello trane fan, I have decided to buy a Mnandi and whilst looking for one, came upon a beauty (with Neil, again). It's in the post now and should be with me soon :D

Decided on a lighter wood this time, for a change. It's Box Elder. This really shows well on the smaller knife, although I was badly tempted by a Snakewood model - that was a class finish, too

I'll try to do a couple of snaps when it arrives.

Thanks again.

Mark

You dog!! I've been wanting a Box Elder in the worst way and I'm trying to put together the funds to get one. I'm trying to be patient but in the mean time you and other BFC members keep posting threads about getting a Box Elder model. I'm starting to turn green with envy. :( :p :D ;)

Oh well......it should be worth the wait for you :p

I fancied the Box Elder, too, as it suited the little knife very well, in my opinion. There was a lovely picture of a jaw dropping Mnandi somewhere else on here......Snakewood and Gold, WOW

It's a new wood to me as well, so that makes it worth the picking, too. Looking forward to having her in my jacket pocket :)

Oh...did somebody say, "Box Elder"...?

Gee, now I'm going to have to post these again :footinmou

Guilty! :p

My uncertainty about the Mnandi itself aside (which lessens by the day), I will have to say that the Box Elder is just stunning. Mrs. Reeve informed me that it costs a premium over the standard inlays (about $75 more, I believe) since it is so brittle and hard to work with. The skill level and craftsmanship required to make and fit the inlay adds, for me at least, an extra intangible beauty to the knife beyond the aesthetics of the figuring of the wood.

Oops...I guess I just did it again :footinmou ;) :D :p
