Looking to buy a fixed blade knife. I like spyderco salt series. Perfer a smaller one. For edc

A good CHEAP (as in price not material in any matter) edc is the kershaw skyline & yes it is more than just a hype blade. I carry it when I can and it works great

Spyderco has excellent fixed blades if you can afford them. They all work fantastically but for a standard edc roll it could be tricky.

You may also want to consider EESEknives, they have some nice quality edc fixed blade size knives

This is a knife forum...should have been titled "Point me in the right direction".:D
Sorry, all this sunshine we had this week has me sort of silly.

Blessings,

Omar

The Spyderco Streetbeat? A bit pricey but completely worth it with the fit and finish. Most or all of the edc friendly H1 steel fixed blades are discontinued. You might have some luck keeping an eye on the forums for one to pop up. If not Spyderco just came out with a line called the 'enuff' series. VG-10 is rather rust resistant as long as you don't abuse it.

It would help us help you if we knew why you like the Spyderco Salt series.

What should we be suggesting to you? Knives with serrations? Knives with yellow handles? Knives with rust resistant non steel alloys?

Check out the A.G. Russell Dear Hunter/Hunters Scalpel series. They come in a variety of steels and are quite affordable.

Another option is a neck knife. Depending on where you live, this could be a great option. As for some ideas:

- ESEE Izula
- ESEE Izula II
- Brous Blades Silent Soldier V2

Blade HQ has an absolutely stupidly-low price on the ZT 0121 right now... just sayin.

Also, there's the Spyderco Swick (if you can find a used one) or the new Enuff. Izulas seem to be great little fixed-blades as well (I've got an Izula-I with the add-on scales and I like it better than the II with scales).
