A friend of mine has a knife that i'm trying to identify. At first glance it looks like a BM 35. It is 3 inch and has beveled holes. I really dont know much about the 35, so here are the other characteristics: on one side of the blade is the butterfly logo, but then on the other side it says USA and "bali-song", not benchmade. it has hidden pins, and what seems like an incredibly strong blade material. on the latch where the tip of the blade can easily contact, there is a notch the width of the part, but the tip is in great condtion. It is really in beautiful condition other than some manipulation and obviously that notch in the latch. so, is it a 35, or.... thanks for any help.

I'm guessing it's a bali-song cutlery knife (pre-benchmade). As far as I know it's pretty much the same thing, material and quality wise as the BM's, just earlier and was produced under different ownership. Hope I helped.

Yeah, thats sorta what i was thinking, with the "bali-song" on the blade, but my friend said he thinks, not sure, but thinks it may have been ordered out of a catologue with other benchmade products. How long ago was the actually Bali-song company producing knives? If this is a Bali-song, what would it be worth? thanks again

You're gonna have to give some more details such as the blade profile. Pictures will help a lot. And I'm not sure what you mean by a "notch" on the latch. Is this latch dammage?
