Could we do a sticky?

We hear a lot of terms bandied about like toughness, tensile strength, yield strength, ductility, etc. Could one of you guys who knows about such dark arts come up with a list of relevant terms for us dim people and tell us what each of these properties might do for knives, axes, hawks, sharpened pry bars, clubs with a semi sharp edges, zombie skewers, really badass sporks, etc.? Much oblige.

Mr. Google and Wikipedia can teach you loads of accurate technical definitions about such words.

That is basically what Larrin is doing with his blogs. Any metallurgy book has a complete glossary of terms., too.
