A short nighthawk without those evil, worthless serrations. also while i'm dreaming include a kydex sheath with this pattern. And it could be called the ahgar variation. Well maybe not that but really would you buy a short nighthawk
w/o serrations and a kydex sheath?? just wondering, ahgar

...I gotta admit that I'm most likely in the minority on this but I do avoid those serrations like the plague on any knife...I might even be tempted to get "fixed"......if I saw one of the short nighthawks without serrations for sale somewhere...You could call it virtually anything and I think I might pick one up...:D

I would buy one or two myself. Black handle/blade. PLAIN edged short Nighthawk.

And Doc D., I don't thinhk you're a minority on the serration gig. I actually swapped out a serrated ATS-34 for a 420HC plain on a knife. I would rather have decent steel that cuts the full length than premium steel that snags.

Why they don't serrate the spine instead of useable slicing real estate is beyond me. If I want a saw, I get a saw. If I want a hammer, I get a 110 with brass bolsters ;)

I gotta agree, serrations are a pain for me too. I dislike them intensely. :thumbdn:

I just like the looks of the 408 S30V Kalinga Pro - which adorns the front of both the consumer and dealer catalogs. I would be happy - for now - with one of them - and someday soon. An affordable set of the 102, 115, & 118 - all in brass and cocobolo - would be nice.

Oh yeah, and world peace...

I'm with you guys..without serrations...but if I want a hammer, I'll just spinewack :D I have noticed some makers placing serrations on the spine, I think that is a better idea.
