I got this idea after reading a thread started by SkunkWerX "Design your own Wilderness Survival School" http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=434882.
Based on the practical knowledge in this forum, could we build a list of topics and have all of us from the global village show how we do it in out part of the world.
For example:
Shealter:
In the tropics of Australia, using a tarp, hammock and fly net.
In the Swiss Alps using a snow hole.
For each submission, we would need to have pictures of the finished project, along with picture of how the user got there. Along with the "how to" and the products used.
Once we have collected enough items, we could pull together a manual that would cover the key topics for survival in all parts of the world, along with the best local products to get the job done.
If you think it's a good idea, can you post list of the areas to cover and then we can all start adding the detail for each section from our part of the world using our local skills, experiance and products. Even if we do some things the the same way in different parts of the world, the local tools or products may differ.
